Mouse Box - Print In Place
thingiverse
I'm thrilled that you're as excited about print-in-place technique as I am, the holy grail of 3D-printing techniques! I present to you a model that brings this amazing concept to life with moving parts. It's one of my first print-in-place models and I think it's a real showstopper. The design is sleek and simplified, using geometry that's easy on your printer. Just print it in place and the bottom should snap out easily, revealing a storage space inside the mouse! You can check out the attached pictures to see what I mean. As someone who works in a laboratory experimenting with mice models of human diseases, you might guess where my inspiration came from - these incredible little creatures are the real stars of this design. And let's be honest, it's dedicated to all the countless mice that have been sacrificed for Science! So go ahead and happy printing! Note: I'm looking forward to seeing your prints! If you print this model, please use the Attribution Print Tag while showcasing your work. Model Update [12/18/2017]: I've updated the model so that the tail touches the surface, eliminating the need for supports on the tail.
