Mounting point with lip
prusaprinters
I needed a way to attach a small (G scale) sign to an uneven surface. These mounting points can be screwed to the surface. The slot hole allows them to be aligned in a horizontal line even if the holes are not perfectly aligned. The mounting point has (hopefully) enough surface area to glue the sign to it. There is a small lip on the bottom edge to make sure the sign stays in place while the glue dries. The slot hole for the screw is tapered for countersink screws. The SCAD file can be easily modified for other screw type, screw size and mounting point size. These prints are made in generic black PLA with 100% infill and 0.1mm layer height for best strength. Each one is about ~1g / ~32cm filament. The print files are for both 1 and 2 pieces at once. The SCAD file references the library af-basics.scad which can be found here:https://www.printables.com/model/175914-openscad-library-for-more-basic-shapes
