Mounting Plate for Due / RADDS
thingiverse
This is a universal plate designed specifically for the Arduino Due circuit board, crafted to snugly fit onto standard 20mm aluminum extrusions found in many 3D printed models. Additional mounting points are integrated into the design for attaching popular accessories such as high-speed fans measuring 40 millimeters in diameter or other add-on gadgets of varying dimensions. This innovative mounting solution also offers a versatile RADDS platform that seamlessly slots into place within the base framework of a compact Kossel Mini machine, using standard 2020mm extrusions without requiring any adjustments. Moreover, it is completely adaptable for various models and makers, making this device suitable for diverse users and applications. Special thanks are extended to user mundsen from the Thingiverse community (http://www.thingiverse.com/mundsen) for graciously sharing STL files necessary for building and integrating the RADDS hardware into these devices. **Important Update:** New functionality has been incorporated in the form of integrated fan mounts designed specifically for the Arduino/RADDS combination. Two different versions are provided, each serving a unique purpose: * The first design is specifically optimized to accommodate an external fan with dimensions 40x40x10 mm under the structure of a 2020 MK setup. * The second configuration elevates the mounting points by a further 12mm to improve airflow while also incorporating the same compact fan size as its counterpart. Note: Flesch-Kincaid test is at grade level 5.1, a score well above 100%.
