I'm attaching my Garmin Montana V2 GPS device to the motorcycle handlebar using a 28.6 mm mount. The new design has made it more compact and positioned closer to the handlebar, giving it greater strength. I've mounted this on my dirt bike and secured it with M4 bolts attached to MDF furniture boards that use M6 connecting screws (http://www.solmer.co.uk/screws-bolts/m6-connecting-screw-complete-fitting.html).
