Mounting Hub for 3mm D-shaft motor and 16 tooth LEGO gear (Short Version)
thingiverse
To attach a 16-tooth LEGO gear to a 3mm D-shaft motor, such as Pololu's Micro Metal Gearmotors, I developed a compact hub that utilizes the 4 circular holes on the gear instead of the cross axle for a more space-efficient fit. The design fits snugly on a Makerbot Dual-printed 3mm motor shaft; adjust print size if necessary. You may also increase shell count, as the motor shaft mounting area can wear smooth with prolonged use. A downloadable Inventor file is available for customization if needed.
With this file you will be able to print Mounting Hub for 3mm D-shaft motor and 16 tooth LEGO gear (Short Version) with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design.
