With my printer situated in the garage and printing via Octoprint, I desired to illuminate the printer so I wouldn't need to have the ceiling lights on in the garage. I decided to use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HSF65MC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and to connect multiple sections these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GTGLCXI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 since they would be applied to an unfinished wooden shelf above the printer, I wasn't sure how well the tape would stick to the unfinished wood. For added security, I designed this clip that would clamp the connector and screw it to the shelf. The 5mm mounting hole will accommodate a US #8 screw or smaller. As you can see in one picture, the flat end opposite the mounting hole can be used to secure the unterminated end of the light strip. Print Settings Printer: Sunhokey Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 40% Notes: The 40% infill is probably overkill, but since they are so small, the additional filament use is negligible. But if you make these, you can set them to whatever you want in your slicer. How I Designed This I included the original FreeCad file if you want to modify anything.
