Just to be on the safe(r) side I wanted to replace the stock power supply of my Flying Bear Ghost 4 printer by one from a reputable brand. Therefore, I needed mounting brackets to make the replacement part I chose (Meanwell LRS-350-24) compatible with the existing mounting holes of the printer chassis.

There is one bracket to be mounted towards the rear and another to be mounted towards the front of the power supply (both on its bottom side). After attaching the brackets to the power supply the whole assembly can then be attached to the chassis of the printer, e.g. using self-tapping screws.

There is also a protective cover for the terminal section of the LRS-350-24 helping to prevent you from accidentally touching the mains voltage terminals of the power supply. It is a tight fit but you should be able to attach it (after making the electrical connections) using mild force.

!!! CAUTION !!!

Because the replacement power supply is attached using plastic brackets the printer chassis is not connected to protective earth as there is no electrical connection between the printer chassis and the power supply housing. You need to attach the printer chassis to the earth terminal of the power jack making sure there is very little resistance between the chassis and the earth terminal.

If you do not have the required qualifications or feel uncomfortable modifying the electrical connections inside your printer ask a qualified expert to do it for you. Mains voltage can cause injury or even be fatal! If you are modifying your printer you do so at your own risk.

Print Settings

Printer:

Flying Bear Ghost 4

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2 mm

Infill:

20%

Filament:

PLA
