This is a 100% form and function replacement for the clear plastic mounting brackets supplied with Amazon product B01DM7GBIM. The bracket is screw-mounted to a surface such as under a cabinet, providing a stable base for LED strip lights. The aluminum channel is designed to snap into this bracket, directing the lights at a precise 45-degree angle relative to the mounting surface. *** I updated this model on October 2, 2017 *** After six months of rigorous testing, one of my LED strip channels started popping out of the original clips. To address this issue, I revamped the design to make the clip more secure. The nibbs on the ends of the clip were made more aggressive, and the strip was designed to sit deeper in the clip. The old model was removed and replaced with this enhanced version.
