The basement area is directly connected to the lower garden that overlooks the Alps. It contains technical rooms and areas intended for entertaining guests or relaxing in the wellness area. The streetside main entrance leads to the groundfloor level where guestrooms and bathrooms are mostly located. The main area is situated on the upper floor. Living space opens up to a stunning view of the mountains, which can also be appreciated from the outside terrace. Master bedroom is separated from the living room but enjoys the same view and access to the terrace. The whole floor has a unique shape that makes it feel like it's floating above the valley underneath. The main conceptual idea is the form of the roof while following the roofs' inclines of the houses in the area. By repeating the gable shape three times, we create a form that resembles the surrounding mountain peaks. Although the building size is quite large, fragmenting the roof into smaller shapes and partially hiding the lowest level into the terrain prevents it from standing out due to its size alone. Materials are combined with delicate color schemes and surface treatments to achieve a luxurious appearance that's not overwhelming yet unapologetically modern. Large glazed openings face the mountains while the street side is more closed and reserved. The dominant color contrast on the outside features a classic black and white scheme. More subdued, natural colors are used in interior design. Despite clean, simple, and elegant shapes prevailing, the interior does not lose its warmth or luxury.
