Mountain Bike rotor centrifugal cooling fan

Mountain Bike rotor centrifugal cooling fan

This centrifugal fan was carefully designed and installed onto a mountain bike to effectively cool its brake rotor as it moves. The fan is securely attached directly to the back of the flange on the wheel hub. To make this work, I had to swap out the standard rotor bolts for longer ones that are 18mm in length, allowing them to stick out from the back of the flange and interact with the fan. This setup was tailored specifically to my bike, given its tight clearance, so I cannot provide any insights on whether it would be compatible with other hub/brake combinations. Currently, I'm running Stan's hubs paired with 180mm IceTech rotors and SLX calipers.
