I've worked with 21 x 7 cm and larger through hole prototype boards for a while now. Lately, I employed them to build small circuits that power a servo turnout motor (check out servo mount under model trains on Thingiverse) on my friend's model railroad layout, so I had to be able to screw (#4 or M3) the board into place underneath the layout. I came up with the enclosed mount for this purpose, but it could easily serve to secure the board in most any project.
