Mount Vettore - Active fault scarp in thalweg 1
sketchfab
The devastating surface scarp caused by the Amatrice earthquake on August 24th, 2016. Data was collected on September 14th, 2016. A comprehensive examination of the entire site was conducted. High-resolution images were captured from a telescopic pole equipped with an HR sensor (Sony Alpha 7R camera paired with a 28mm lens). Advanced photogrammetric processing was performed using 160 images and 25 Ground Control Points, courtesy of Agisoft Photoscan. The resulting mesh was decimated without texture. This project is the result of a collaborative effort between Jules Fleury from SIGéo/CEREGE/AMU and the INSU CNRS post-seismic team, completed in October 2016.
