Mount Vesuvius created with SRTM2STL, using precise SRTM data gathered from Space Shuttle missions. The original source code is accessible online at GitHub, published under the flexible GNU license terms. Simply navigate to GitHub and search for SRTM2STL to begin the process. Note: I added a 1arc second version of the data. You can choose to print these maps at a smaller scale for optimal results. PLA printing has revealed significant warping issues with large prints, but using a Raised Relief Map approach yields mixed outcomes. If you're able to effectively manage warping during printing, bigger map sizes may be feasible for your setup.
