Welcome to Wax's Maps! I transform free, public mapping data into bite-sized 3D printable files using GIS software for areas of interest that matter to me or others. I've already perfected maps in terms of complexity and height scaling to make them look their best. If you want a lot of detail, print the maps at a 0.1-layer height, if you want a map with topographic lines, print it at 3.0+ layer height. Most of the maps are pre-scaled to be 10x10cm squares, but if you scale them up by 25-50%, they make fantastic wall art! No supports needed, and they look amazing when you switch up the colors like I have in the photos. If there's an area or mountain that I haven't created yet that holds special meaning for you, I'd be happy to add it to the queue, constantly creating new maps! Download, print, hang, enjoy!
