Mount for 1893 bulb in 5/8" hole
thingiverse
Decided to bypass LEDs on old Ford tractor warning lamps altogether. No room to mount circuit board, so opted for soldering couple wires onto 1893 long life bulbs and gluing them into holders instead. May not need glue if they fit snugly enough - we'll see how it goes. Bulbs will only be accessible from front, further into gauge cluster, eliminating risk of losing bulb down where it can't be seen either way. Also designed a small fixture to hold bulb in place for soldering wires. Ground wire must be soldered onto rim around center contact so it doesn't interfere with holder. Two-piece version is split along centerline and will require supports and raft when printing, especially if you have any elephant's foot issues. This design traps bulb using recesses instead of slots for retention pins, allowing two halves to line up and be held together with zip tie around waist. Wires still need to be soldered onto very base of bulb, one on center contact and one on outer rim. Two-piece version should also be stronger at fingers since layer lines are running along them instead of across. New 58_1893_Mount_MOD file ended up working for me in the end. If you print two-piece version, round side down will give better results. STL has been reoriented to match direction that worked best for me. More support is needed, but faces that require precision ended up cleaner. Initial problem was it prying itself open when trying to insert into hole, so I'm sticking with single piece version.
