Mount Everest

Mount Everest

thingiverse

Mt Everest constructed using highly precise 1 arcsecond resolution SRTM data from the Space Shuttle. The final product consists of approximately 1.4 million intricately formed polygons. Created using a state-of-the-art, unreleased version of SRTM2STL, the source code for producing high-resolution files at 3 arcsecond accuracy is readily available on GitHub under the terms of the GNU license. Users can easily access the repository by visiting GitHub and conducting a search for SRTM2STL. It's advisable to print this file using a relatively small setting. Formerly, issues with warping occurred when printing using PLA material, especially when producing large-scale Raised Relief Maps. However, upgrading to a heated bed has significantly improved results, yielding much better overall prints.
