VESA to 25mm rod: designed for compatibility with common stereo/trinocular microscopes. Unprinted, untested prototype, requiring verification of dimensions, including rod length and clearance at top/bottom, as well as the bevel at the rear edge, which may interfere with the microscope mount due to a peculiar issue on one corner. Offered as an alternative to another printed design prone to fracturing over time. Instead of describing its limitations, I opted for designing this new solution. The VESA mount holes are spaced 100mm and 75mm apart, utilizing M4 cap head bolts, chosen for their strength and resistance to progressive splitting during the printing process. Printing with 3mm perimeters should solidify the relevant parts, while other components will utilize infill, maintaining structural integrity. However, using PLA at 3mm perimeters/top/bottom with 30% infill may not be optimal due to its brittleness over time. Therefore, it is recommended to use PETG or similar flexible materials for added reliability. The provided .blend file offers a potentially useful starting point and serves as an unrefined alternative for those seeking a more reliable microscope design.
