Mississippian Moundville Incised jar stands out for its distinctive design. Found in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, at the Grady Bobo site (1Tu66), this ceramic vessel is a testament to the skill of ancient potters. Measuring 14.9 cm in height and 16.2 cm in diameter, it showcases the precision of Mississippian craftsmen during the late Moundville I phase, circa AD 1200. The jar's recovery from the Grady Bobo site is attributed to the diligent excavations conducted by Margaret Scarry, John Scarry, and Mintcy Maxham between 1995 and 2000. Chris LaMack's model of the vessel serves as a valuable reference for historians and enthusiasts alike.
