MOULAGE D’UNE SÉPULTURE NÉOLITHIQUE
sketchfab
The skeleton rested in a ditch dug out of a palisade trench that blocks the meander of the Noyen-sur-Seine site, "the High of Nachères" (Seine-et-Marne). Discovered at the very base of the plow, its remains show fractures resulting, for most part, from settling due to agricultural machinery. It belongs to an older woman. The hand found under the skull had probably slipped under the weight of a bracelet. The extreme flexion of both upper limbs and the unusual position of the right arm suggest that special treatment was reserved for the deceased, possibly a post-mortem burial.
