This compact motor reducer, measuring 2.15" x 0.79" x 0.54" (54.5 × 20 × 13.8 mm) and weighing just 0.7 oz (19.5 grams), is ideal for quickly building miniature robots. Operating voltage range recommendation is between 3 to 6 V, although the motor reducer can start spinning with as low as 0.6 V. At 4.5 V, this motor reducer boasts a free-run speed of 120 RPM and an approximate torque of 20 oz-in (1.4 kg-cm). It draws a free-run current of 80 mA and a stall current of 800 mA. Its low power consumption makes it perfect for our Qik 2S9V dual motor controller and programmable robot Orangutan series. The stall current, torque, rotation speed, and approximately scale linearly with the motor voltage. A built-in safety clutch protects the gearbox, preventing slipping before the teeth of gears can pure. This pre-assembled motor reducer comes with fully closed gears. It features a 3 mm D-shaped output shaft, compatible with Pololu wheels and the universal 3 mm aluminum cube mount.
