Prusa i3 Y-Axis Motormount: I'm proud to present my upgraded motormount design specifically engineered for the Prusa i3 y-axis using sturdy 10mm threaded rods. With this improved design, mounting the motor becomes a breeze without disassembling the entire y-axis frame. Installation is straightforward – simply screw it onto the rods. Benefits Abound: • Ample space is reserved for smooth carriage movement, reducing any potential bottlenecks. • The motor axis aligns perfectly with the rod and idler, ensuring the belt operates in complete parallelism. • Conveniently, removing the motor no longer requires dismantling the entire y-axis system. • Belt tensioning now results in the motor remaining firmly anchored to its position. Upgrades (10/27/2015): I've fine-tuned the design for improved aesthetics. The result is a more visually appealing and functional motormount.
