Motormount for Turnigy 35XX Aerodrive SK3 for RC gliders
thingiverse
This mount is designed specifically for the Turnigy 3536 1050kV motor and must be placed atop a wooden pylon, ideally one made from wood, positioned between the two wings. You will need to create this pylon yourself. The parts featuring five holes are 5mm thick and measure 40x40mm in size. The space between these components is approximately 5.5 mm wide; if it seems too large, you can fill it with plastic or wood as needed. These five holes have a diameter of 2 mm, while the bolts and nuts used to secure the mount to the pylon are 3 mm in size. The part with four holes is 10mm thick. Given that the front side of the mount is square in shape, you may want to consider making it more aerodynamic by attaching a balsa piece to it using CA glue and then shaping it into your desired form. After this step, you can use filler or primer before spraying on paint. If needed, I will provide additional rings measuring 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm in diameter. This mount was designed with the Carrera Trimmy, Robbe Rotario, and Multiplex Domino gliders in mind - vintage models known for their weight, typically ranging from 1500 to 2000 grams when equipped with a 2200 3S lipo battery and motor setup. For reference, please see the Turnigy Aerodrive SK3-3536 1050KV Brushless Outrunner Motor available at HobbyKing. I apologize in advance for any wobbly print photos, as the Y-axis does not function properly.
