Motormount for original Graupner Cirrus and Cirrus 75 pylon
thingiverse
This is a motor mount for Turnigy Aerodrive 3536 1050kV on high-quality, original aluminum Graupner motor pylons designed for small nitro engines in wooden pods for Cirrus 69, Cirrus 75, and Cumulus models. I chose not to bend the aluminum for a sleeker look, so it has a slightly square appearance, which is perfectly fine with me. The total height from the motor axis to the fuselage provides ample clearance for using large folding props up to 13 inches in size. To enhance aerodynamics, I intentionally kept the front side square, allowing you to glue balsa wood onto it and then sand, fill, prime, and spray paint to achieve a smooth finish. I deliberately omitted drilling holes to attach the mount to the aluminum pylons, leaving that task up to you with a 3mm drill or a hot piano wire/thin nail for more precision. The motor mount was printed in PLA and boasts exceptional strength. You can also print an 8mm thick ring if needed to provide extra space around the axis, as seen in the photo where I installed one. Happy flying!
