Motorized Screwless Gear Heart
thingiverse
To motorize my gear heart, I employed a continuous rotation servo that was already at my disposal, which operates on 6V DC power. This is an ongoing project; I plan to enhance the base and servo mount designs before printing them. The heart base's bottom hole was drilled all the way through. A 1/4" diameter rod was then glued to the heart's center, passing through the base. The heart stand was secured to a piece of wood that had already been pre-drilled for the drive rod. A gear matching the one on the servo was attached to the drive rod. The servo was mounted on the wood, ensuring proper gear alignment for smooth rotation. Power was connected and the gear heart began spinning. However, I need to make the speed adjustable in the future. Additionally, a hand-crank version is being considered as an alternative option.
