Electric motor for driving High Bypass Engine Nacelle: A Self-Contained System This motor system is entirely self-contained within the nozzle cone, also known as a plug. A push-on/push-off button is conveniently located at the tip of the nozzle. Powered by 8 AAA cells, it runs at a steady 72 RPM. Full load measures 120 milliamps, providing approximately 8 hours of run time with good quality batteries. To ensure optimal performance, bearings must be thoroughly cleaned of all grease and relubricated with light oil. The engine model should spin freely, as tight spots and sluggish bearings can greatly diminish battery life and potentially wear out the gear-motor prematurely. Adapters are included to seamlessly integrate this motor into the original nacelle design. However, updates have been made to facilitate easy integration without adapters. Molex connectors can be substituted with various types and brands; they were chosen because of their abundance on hand. Wiring can also be run directly without connectors if desired. This electric motor arrangement is specifically designed for use with remixed versions of the nozzle stator and nozzle plug, but will not function with the original 3D Printable Jet Engine by Chris Shakil.
