Motorhome LED Light Fixing
thingiverse
I scoured online marketplaces for an outside light for my motorhome, but couldn't find one that met my needs, so I decided to create my own custom solution. I designed two versions with removable lens covers - one features running lights and has a sleek, low-profile design that looks great when installed. To bring this idea to life, I sourced 5mm LED lights from eBay and a step-down voltage converter for around £8. To produce the light fixture, I set my 3D printer to use four shells with support material. For the lens covers, I opted for 100% infill without supports, then carefully rotated them to enable printing without any additional assistance. To ensure proper adhesion on my CR-10 printer's glass bed, I applied PVA glue. To make LED installation easier, I drilled a 5mm hole through each fixture using a drill bit, leaving some holes intact as an option for those who prefer fewer LEDs. Once I've completed wiring the lights and installed them on my van, I'll post photos for your viewing pleasure. If you need help refining this design or have any questions, feel free to reach out - I'm more than happy to assist in any way possible!
