Motorcycle Throttle Wrist Rest
thingiverse
Following a two-day, 520-mile motorcycle trip, the rider decided to create a wrist rest for their throttle hand using a 3D printer. They released the design non-commercially but considered individual/one-off licenses for commercial use. The wrist rest is designed specifically for a 2000 Ninja 250 with grips measuring approximately 1.3 inches in diameter and requires a tight fit. It was printed using ABS material, as the part needs to be springy to stay in position and provide support. Print settings should include at least two perimeters and 50% infill for better load distribution and retention. The wrist rest is installed on the outer end of the twist grip and is adjusted based on the user's neutral hand position. Initial field results show that the wrist rest works satisfactorily, providing support without interfering with spirited riding.
