Motorcycle Rotor Brake Disk Cover
thingiverse
Here is your complete project to create a pair of rotor disk covers for your bike. They fit any kind of bike with 60 mm diameter fork legs, no matter what brand you have - I designed mine specifically for Jap bikes like my Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki or Suzuki. You'll find the right one here, just mirror it to get the left version. It's extremely important for your safety: print this in an industrial way to achieve enough stiffness to ride safely. Please read the information about PRINTING SETTINGS! Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.4 Infill: 30% Notes: IMPORTANT NOTICE: My covers are shared only with expert Makers. Don't try to make it with a common nozzle on your desktop machine, you risk damaging your bike or causing an accident for yourself. Use a 0.8 NOZZLE and print with ABS, ABS PRO, HIPS, or similar strong materials. Do not use PLA! Use 2.4 or 3.2 shell thickness (three-fourths perimeters on 0.8 nozzle). With a big nozzle and strong material, you'll be able to mount them safely for thousands of miles. Actually, my covers have over 2,000 km without any problems at all. Post-Printing Print the dx or sx version and assemble them using stainless steel bolts. Use the strongest cable ties you can find - five or six millimeters large is perfect. If you like, put a double-sided industrial adhesive tape on the back side to prevent turning around the leg.
