I've spent a significant amount of time refining the design of the original phone mount, and some notable updates include: - A cutout was added to the base to make it easier to remove the phone - The size of the sunshade on top was reduced as I found it unnecessarily large - For the mounts, I updated the design so that flexible filament inserts can be used to help grip the mounting bar - For the Africa Twin, a high mount was designed to mount above the instrument cluster instead of on the handlebar - Mounts are now all bolted fast with no zip ties; designed recesses were added to integrate the nut into the clamp for easier mounting and a better look All phone holders are made to fit specific phone cases as indicated below. Myself and a few friends have been running these mounts on our bikes for over a year now without any issues. The red PLA print for the friend with the Beemer has started to fade a lot from standing in the sun, while another print in blue has faded much less. White or grey are probably the best options. Also, I want to mention that with my previous design, a German motorcar and motorcycle manufacturer filed a DMCA against my design and it got taken down for a few days. My only 'crime' was mentioning their name in my description and design file names. To avoid this issue, I will be omitting the manufacturer's name in this post, but it's easy to figure out - they are world famous for their 1200 (now 1250) boxer engines and also the 800 (now 850) rotax engine. Secure with nylocks. Then I recommend using a bit of superglue (CA glue) to secure the flex inserts inside the mount and clamps - it makes life easier when mounting. Additionally, you can seat the nylock nuts into the clamps with some superglue too. Make sure you don't get any glue in the threads. To mount on the German motorcycle: Put the M4x15 screws through the bottom case, through the mounts and screw into the clamps. To mount on the CRF1000: attach the "stalk" mounts to the bottom cover with the counter sunk screws. Then mount the stalks to the top windscreen bar with the 20mm cap head screws.
