Motorcycle Intake Plugs

Motorcycle Intake Plugs

thingiverse

These are plugs for motorcycles with carburetor intakes designed to block foreign objects from entering inlets when the carburetors are removed. They fit snugly and are tapered to ease insertion, but should be secure. Only spigot-mounted carbs will work with these, as they rely on a rubber flange that is already installed. These plugs match Mikuni spigot sizes, but may also fit other types with similar diameters such as Dell'Orto or Keihin. The chart provided lists the different sizes available. For example, a 37mm carburetor used in an '87 Yamaha FZR1000 requires a SpigotPlug - 43 since the spigot measures 43mm in diameter. Some sizes come in short and long versions, with a difference of +5mm, to accommodate varying needs. The STP files included can be modified for personal use. Print settings are as follows: infill should range from 20-50%, any resolution below 0.3mm will suffice, but it's recommended to keep the infill at a higher setting if clamping the plugs into place is planned.
