Motorcycle Helmet Visor Wedges
thingiverse
The Problem My wife's motorcycle helmet visor does not allow a small amount of air to enter - it is either fully closed or has a gap of about 20mm which is very harsh in winter if she only needs a little ventilation. The Solution A small wedge/clip that holds the visor open about 5-6 mm allowing a small volume of air into the helmet. This also prevents fogging up on colder days. Printing I printed with thin layers - 0.16mm - to enhance the strength and gave it a hefty infill for the same reason. I used PETG as it will be exposed to harsh Australian sunlight when in use. Cheap Advice! If you print this, and it works, print spares as they will get lost. Be warned! Anyway, I hope someone finds this useful. Great Gift Idea For Your Rebel Friends! Print some in gaudy colors for your friends! Photo Credit Thanks Ben Hew for the great shot.
