Motorcycle Control Cable Lubricator
thingiverse
Controlling your motorcycle's cable maintenance is critical and without a purpose-built tool, it becomes a real headache. As an inventor, I decided to create a device that would allow me to isolate the control cable at one end while permitting the attachment of aerosol lubricant to that end, forcing the lubricant down the control cable. **The Design Consists Of Four Components:** - **Cable Luber Bottom.stl**: The base slides over the control cable and accepts a grommet. - **Cable Luber Top.stl**: The top screws into the base and accepts an aerosol can. - **Cable Luber Bottom Insert.stl**: The grommet fits around the control cable, creating a seal. - **Cable Luber Top Insert.stl**: Another grommet goes in the top, producing a good seal with the aerosol can. The top and bottom were printed in PLA, while the two inserts are printed in TPU. @pashworth6 has kindly provided various insert sizes at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4493852. I tested this device on my Honda Africa Twin clutch cable. Mileage may vary with the bottom flexible grommet, as control cables differ in thickness. If a good seal isn't achieved, use electrician's tape or a piece of latex glove to improve it.
