Motorcycle change dispenser (quarters only)
thingiverse
This holds more than two full rolls of quarters ($20) for toll roads, far exceeding the usual $2.25 capacity, and skips the useless nickels and dimes slots altogether. The coin slot is designed to allow quarters to be slid out easily even when wearing slick leather motorcycle gloves. The short version is cheap and quick to print. The tall one allows steel rods to be inserted as weights at the top, ensuring that the last few quarters dispense smoothly. I used two 1-inch diameter by 1-inch long steel spacers from McMaster-Carr #92415A153 (expensive at $14) since I didn't have anything to cut a steel rod. It is meant to be bolted onto an AMPS compatible mount such as the RAMmount.com RAM-B-238, using two #10-24x2" bolts. This can then be mounted on a motorcycle using standard RAM ball mount systems, adapting to fit any motorcycle or handlebar setup. The pictures show the mount securely bolted in place. This also means that it can be removed in 30 seconds if you want to slip it out of view into a tankbag while shopping. Make sure to use Nyloc lock nuts; I had engine vibration loosen the standard nuts previously. I've included the FreeCAD files used to design it. Print it with 15% fill and "support on build plate only" checked.
