Motorbike - WW2 Triumph Model
sketchfab
A detailed cartoon style motorcycle based on the Triumph 3HW Army Bike comes alive. The low resolution model is a testament to its simplicity, yet still packed with intricate details such as tire treads, chains and springs. Every part of the bike has been meticulously modeled, resulting in a high poly count that can be optimized by baking textures and applying basic repotology. While animating a chain in Blender is straightforward, importing animations into Sketchfab proves to be more challenging due to its limitations on empties. Chain animations that follow paths in Blender require a specific setup involving empties, bones and paths, which can be tricky to replicate in Sketchfab. After several attempts, I finally managed to get the animation working by using a path, attaching bones to empties and baking the animation before importing. The original Blender animation showcases the bike's chain movements and can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/eyW1vgviFH8
