Motorbike Bluetooth Antenna Guard

I'm getting pretty roughed up by the wear and tear on my motorcycle Bluetooth communicator's antenna, so I decided to whip out my DIY skills. It had already developed some brittleness, but a bit of glue seemed to help stabilize it temporarily - only for me to realize that the underlying plastic was giving out big time. In an attempt to extend the lifespan of this thing, I designed and printed a sturdy sleeve to wrap around the antenna and add some much-needed reinforcement. So far, so good! I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll stay that way. Edit 24Jun16: After rethinking things, I created a newer version of the sleeve that stretches all the way down to the base - my previous design wasn't cutting it since the actual antenna was breaking away with the older model in tow. That's one unhappy device I've got on my hands.
