Motor tower- Bird of Time or other gliders
thingiverse
This thing was designed by "Vanny" and printed from me, but not tested in flight yet . After my maiden flight as a glider, I'll use it. When using Slic3r, please scale to 1000% for best results. A 35mm brushless outrunner motor fits perfectly inside the casing. The outer diameter of the firewall will be 40 mm exactly. Please position parts in their optimal orientation before printing them. Use ca-glue and activator spray to assemble the parts together securely. If surfaces are not flat, a little sanding is recommended to smooth them out. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Geeetech Prusa I3 pro B Rafts: Doesn't Matter - it's up to you Supports: Yes, they're necessary Resolution: 0.15mm for crisp details Infill: Yes, with 15% infill if needed for added strength Notes: Nozzle size: 0.3 mm for precise printing Recommended filament: PLA (not tested with ABS, HTPLA, or PETG yet) To print the spinner plate, turn it upside down and use 20 solid layers as the base, two perimeters, and set infill to 15% for a stable mounting plate and lightweight walls. Support is sometimes required for parts like the gondola, spinnerplate, oval ring, brim, and skirt - they'll be helpful in securing the print.
