This is a custom motor mount designed to replace an outdated COX combustion engine with a cost-effective 300-class brushed electric motor, specifically one with a 24-25mm diameter. The mount attaches directly to the "firewall" and maintains the same 27x20mm screw pattern as the COX engine, ensuring that sidethrust, downtrust, and shaft positioning remain unchanged. For optimal results, print this design with 5 top and 5 bottom layers to create a solid mounting plate, and use a higher-than-average print temperature to achieve better layer adhesion. When assembling the mount, be sure to align the motor cooling outlets with the corresponding openings in the mount to prevent overheating during extended flight periods.
