I designed an upgraded motor mount specifically for my tricopter after encountering issues with the original design. Initially, I discovered that the mounting holes were excessively tight for M3 screws, but fortunately, the 16mm distance perfectly accommodated my brotherhobby R6 2205 motor. However, the holes closer to the arm posed a problem due to their proximity to the tilt mechanism, which left insufficient space for the screwhead. To rectify this, I strengthened the arm for the servo link, as it was initially too weak and prone to breaking during assembly. Furthermore, I standardized the hole diameter for the tilt mechanism to ensure consistency throughout the design. Finally, I increased the overall thickness of the mount to prevent screws from coming into contact with my motor's stator.
