Motor mount for the Dayton 1LNH1 Dc Motor
thingiverse
I had to create a bracket to secure the motor, which I replaced with one from eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/321131266241?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) since none was available. The previous motor couldn't move the extruder once pellets were added, so I swapped it out for a stronger one. Hopefully, this new motor will perform better; if not, I'll head to the junkyard to scavenge a wiper motor and then back to the drawing board to design another bracket. The new motor that comes with this bracket can be found at http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dayton-Model-1LNH1-DC-Gear-Motor-25-RPM-1-150-hp-12VDC-4Z839-/401132744436?hash=item5d655feef4:g:zR0AAOxyaURTi0ma. This motor is connected directly to a gear, item #1643909. The side holes on the bracket are for ventilation; I might add fan mounts to them in the future to keep the motor cool and reduce plastic usage.
