Motor Mount for the Axon (plane designed by Ed of Experimental Airlines)
thingiverse
A custom motor mount was designed for the Axon, a pusher-prop RC airplane by Ed of Experimental Airlines. The mount is made from a 6" piece of 5/8" square wood and fits over the end, secured with mounting tape on top section of fuselage. The design accommodates the suggested motor from Hobbyking, using M3.5 hardware with 6mm length bolts in specific patterns. It provides clearance for a 6x4 prop and is printed with supports, although adjustments may be needed for snug fit. This is the first OpenSCAD model uploaded to Thingiverse by the creator, who guarantees its durability.
