Motor Mount for Electric Longboard
thingiverse
This is an initial take at a motormount for a electric longboard scripted in openscad. It's supposed to be welded to the trucks and hold the motor, with a pulley added to the wheel and motor, as well as a belt stretched between them. I haven't printed this or tested it yet, so there are no guarantees. New update; There is now a 50mm outrunner on randal RII scad file that appears to be able to be 3D printed!!! Update 2; after ~15km on that print, it broke exactly over the layer between the flat mount, and the standing 'tower' holding the hanger. I had this glued with two-component acrylic-based glue now, which feels more solid than the print. I have another ~10km on that again, and still, everything is holding up okay.. Update 3; after another ~250km the motor pulley started to wear out due to slipping when breaking maximum. After replacing it, i couldn't get belt alignment accurate enough apparently) and after another ~50km the belt started riding into the motormount halfway through. I've given up on the idea of a printable motormount for now as other projects are taking the lead, but I'll come back to this later! keep posted!!!
