Motor Mount for 22mm Brushless on Aluminum U Channel
thingiverse
This motor mount attaches a 22mm size brushless motor to a U-channel designed for 1/4" plywood. For example, I'm using a 2204 size 1900kv motor. A four-foot section of channel can be purchased at a hardware store for $5 and is enough for two quad arms or the arms and body of one quad (250mm to 400mm sizes). Check out the label picture for more information on the aluminum. Two holes need to be drilled through the top side of the aluminum for motor screws, but you can use the plastic backside holes as a drill guide. I prefer this design because it combines the strength of both plastic and aluminum, supporting each other. The fit is very tight, so an arbor press or vise is required to get them flush.
