Motor Mount (6355 motor) - Electric Mountainboard
thingiverse
I designed a motor mount in SolidWorks for my electric mountainboard project, drawing inspiration from TB's innovative clamp and mount method that had worked well for his electric longboard project, and I wanted to adapt it for my E-MTB. This design is suitable for any 63mm motor, specifically the 190kv 6355 motor I'm currently using from TB. Initially, I printed the mount with ABS plastic, which proved strong enough but only for demonstration purposes, as I wouldn't recommend relying on plastic for extended periods. To ensure durability and performance, I then CNC'd the same design from 6061-T6 Aluminum, and it functions flawlessly. I'll soon post photos of my electric mountainboard's drivetrain in action.
