Motor cover for Martian Rover
thingiverse
I loved the covers by Ojemine (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1516319), but the motors that I purchased were slightly larger and required thicker power wire, so they wouldn't fit properly. To solve this issue, I redesigned the parts to accommodate a larger motor body, ducted cable routing, and revised air flow for a better fit with my motor. One M2.5 x 16mm screw with nut and anti-shake washers is used for the clamp. Print Settings: Printer: JGAURORA A3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: Printed in ABS. It's essential to use thin supports, as thick ones can cause problems when trying to remove them. I print with Cura and utilize the "lines" structure with 60-degree overhang, 15% fill, 0.7mm X/Y, and 0.15mm Z settings. How I Designed This: FreeCAD The original design is available here if you want to adjust it for a slightly different motor body.
