Motor bracket for use on small 3mm shaft robotics motors sold on pololu.com and other sites. The bracket is shown upside down and is printed upside down for the best print results. The holes work perfectly for M2.5, and a 4-40 will work if your printer has fine resolution. However, if your resolution is not very good, you may need to drill out the holes and in fact, the slots may not print cleanly in that case either. WARNING: You need a very fine resolution printer, most likely with a 0.4mm nozzle, to print the slots properly. They turn out great using my printer type shown below. Set the model like shown in 'Cura' by rotating it as shown and make a part. For the bracket on the other side of the robot, mirror the design in Cura or other slicer so motor bracket slots are for the other side wheel. It's best to use near 100% fill so if you want, you can cut off with a mill or saw or file after the print and use shorter screws optionally. One picture shows a motor mounted with a modified bracket for shorter screws but I had not used 100% fill which would look nicer. If you find this helpful, feel free to drop a comment or even a small gratuity using the thingiverse paypal gratuity system OR since that has a rather high minimum of $3 (too much) you may use bitcoin address 1yKJcrkLE7RmsLmZPL3ku5PpazGzNmDSS or Ethereum address 0xbCCEf017Ff00215496A768fb0238893Edf7584B0 if you are set up for crypto transfers. Mostly I want this to be helpful to people using these motors. Create Forever! Mark www.mark-world.com
