Moto X 2nd Gen Phone Stand
thingiverse
I designed a desktop stand for my new Moto X 2nd gen. And now you can print one too! It prints in two parts plus a right-angle USB cable. Instructions Print both the top and bottom pieces at a good resolution. Line the inside of the top piece with thin foam. I use Silly Winks/Funky Foam, adhesive-backed foam available at most craft stores. This ensures that the foam, not the plastic, touches your phone. Your phone will fit without it, but it won't be as snug. Obtain a right-angle micro USB cable: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AR4NC8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Wedge the cable into the base. Snake the cable through the channel and out the back. Place the top on the bottom, using the posts to align it, and insert your phone to make sure the USB fits correctly. Once it does, take the top off and put a bit of glue around the USB plug to secure it in place. Finally, superglue the top to the bottom and enjoy!
