Moto 360 Watch Band

This project entered the MakeShaper Design Challenge (check out all entries here). After purchasing my Moto 360 Sport smartwatch, I quickly noticed that the strap began to fray apart. I immediately searched online to see if replacement straps were available for purchase. To my disappointment, no suitable replacements could be found. I turned to SolidWorks and created a custom watch band based on precise measurements of the smartwatch. The new band features printed-in-place hinges that allow it to fit snugly around the wrist. The smartwatch itself is securely held in place by the material, while reusing the original clasp. After two months of daily use, the watch band shows no signs of wear or tear. With an overall length of 9.85 inches, this custom strap should fit most people comfortably.
