Motion Switch Cover with IKEA Ansluta Remote Holder

I designed a custom cover for a motion sensing switch plate and a remote control holder for undercabinet lighting from IKEA. The goal was to replace the original switch functionality with the IKEA switch, ensuring the main lights remain off when not in use. The design process involved using 123D to create a precise fit for my existing switch plate and remote control. I aimed to block the motion sensing feature while providing a seamless integration of the IKEA switch functionality. This required careful consideration of the dimensions and layout of both components. To produce the custom cover, I utilized my FlashForge Creator Pro 3D printer with the following settings: Printer Brand: FlashForge Printer Model: FlashForge Creator Pro Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 20% Material Used: PLA Upon printing, I encountered a minor issue with the hole size for the remote control, which required some firm pressing to secure it in place. Nevertheless, the cover fits perfectly over my switch plate without the need for any adhesives or fasteners. The entire project was completed using 123D design software, allowing me to create a custom solution tailored to my specific needs.
