Motion Light
thingiverse
I needed a good reading light by my bed, so I decided to make one. I utilized a double ball joint from another project and connected four of them with a 20 cm length of threaded M6 rod. This created a flexible arm that can reach anywhere within a 70 cm radius. On top, I added a ring LED light, a few cable guides, and an adapter for extra functionality. For the base, I used magnets, but I'm sure a G-clamp would be more suitable for most people. I definitely encourage someone to make one of these reading lights. The shiny blue glow around it is from a cheap purchase on eBay, but it adds a nice touch. Good luck with your project!
