Moscow Victory Park is a public park located within the Moskovsky District of Saint Petersburg, Russia. The park's name commemorates the triumph over adversaries in World War II. The park was established after World War II when the site of an old brick factory underwent redevelopment. This location held great significance for residents who survived the war. A nearby brick factory had been utilized to incinerate victims of Germany's blockade and aerial bombardments during the city's siege. Remains were carried in mine carts and dumped into flooded pits nearby. The factory was situated less than a mile from Russia's front lines, positioned along International Avenue (now known as Moskovsky Avenue) near the city's southern outskirts. Images taken by Nazi reconnaissance planes in harsh winter conditions reveal that the cremation facility was heavily used, evident from markings on snow-covered areas.
